Throughout David’s life, God used many people to mold and shape David into the man of faith and leader he came to be. As such, they were God’s “agents of grace” to David. Some were sent to chasten David. Others were send to direct him on the path God wanted him to walk. One very complex person, Joab, sometimes gave David needed help and guidance and at the same time proved to be a challenging source of frustration.
